Plastic injection moulding company Boddingtons Plastics has been named Processor of the Year at the 16th Plastics Industry Awards (PIAs).
The company provides the high quality injection moulding and assembly for the award- winning TF1 Filter range from Fernox, and with this recent award, has been recognised for its commitment to the plastics industry as well as for the significant investment in its new facilities. The Plastics Industry Awards 2016 took place on 30th September at the London Hilton on Park Lane. The awards celebrate the achievements of those working across the UK and Irish plastics industry, recognising key customer relationships, designers, business initiatives and training programmes launched this year.
Kent-based business Boddingtons Plastics won the award for Processor of the Year. The company impressed the judges with its £4.6m investment in a new 4,600 sq metre state-of-the-art facility. The plant’s layout, which doubles the existing space, will help to elevate the company’s presence in the medical and pharma-related sectors.
“We are delighted to once again be playing such an active part in our industry – as measured by the annual PIA awards,” said Andy Tibbs, Managing Director at Boddingtons Plastic. “Not only does this event give us a chance to have our performance recognised, it also gives great opportunity for networking; for customer relations and for enjoying ourselves in good company.”
Richard Wall, Technical Director at Fernox commented: “We are thrilled that Boddingtons Plastic has been rightly acknowledged for its cutting-edge facilities and overall dedication to the plastics industry. The company is a key partner for us. Boddingtons’ technical expertise has helped contribute towards the success of our award-winning TF1 range – by helping to ensure our plastic filters are designed, tested and manufactured to the very highest specification.”
