Fernox has donated an incredible £10,000 to Woking & Sam Beare Hospice through the ESI Foundation, reinforcing our commitment to the communities in which our colleagues live and work. The donation will contribute to the vital specialist support that the charity provides to those receiving end-of-life care across six Surrey boroughs.
The hospice was selected due to the personal connections many of the Fernox employees have with the charity. Woking & Sam Beare Hospice is a patient led charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to those who have advanced life-limiting illnesses living in Northwest Surrey. The donation will fund approximately 380 hours of in-patient care, helping the hospice to continue to deliver compassionate, high-quality support to those who need it most.
Dave Holley, Chemical Technical Manager and Melissa Cook, Sales Support and Marketing Executive from Fernox attended the cheque presentation at the hospice, where they spoke with the team to learn more about how the donation would make a difference. With charity efforts still underway, in addition to the £10,000 donation, Fernox contributed a further £700 raised through a recent staff raffle.
Charel Marais, General Manager at Fernox said: “We are thrilled to support the Woking & Sam Beare Hospice with this donation. It’s impossible to put into words what an important role the hospice and its team play for individuals and their families. The Fernox team will also be volunteering at the hospice later in the year as part of our commitment to support them in any way we can.”
Lucy McNally, Income Generation Manager at Woking & Sam Beare Hospice also commented: “We’re so grateful for the incredible generosity of Fernox. This donation will enable patients and their loved ones to receive end-of-life care as well as support through the challenges of illness, loss, and bereavement. It’s wonderful to work with the team at Fernox to support our shared community.”
