Fernox is pleased to announce that its new Fernox Mobile Application & Associated Systems have successfully achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification, the internationally recognised standard for information security management. This certification represents a significant technical and governance milestone, demonstrating that Fernox has implemented a structured, risk-based approach to protecting information assets across its digital platforms.
ISO 27001 certification confirms that Fernox operates a formally defined Information Security Management System (ISMS) aligned to international best practice. The ISMS covers information security risk assessment, control selection and implementation, incident management, supplier assurance, and continual improvement, all independently audited by an accredited certification body.
A Secure-by-Design Digital Platform
The scope of the certification applies specifically to the Fernox Mobile Application and its associated systems, validating that information security has been embedded throughout the system lifecycle — from design and development through to deployment, operation, and ongoing maintenance.
Darren Holdsworth, Fernox Senior Digital Manager, who led the ISO 27001 implementation, commented:

It confirms that we have a robust framework for identifying and managing information security risks, supported by clear governance, documented processes, and continuous monitoring. This has been a substantial piece of work throughout 2025, involving close collaboration across Digital, IT, Legal, Compliance, and Operational teams.”
The certification process involved a comprehensive gap analysis, formal risk assessments, the implementation of ISO-aligned security policies and procedures, and rigorous internal and external audits to verify effectiveness and compliance.

Achieving ISO 27001 strengthens Fernox’s overall governance, risk, and compliance posture, providing assurance to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders that information is handled securely and consistently.
