EARTH DAY: FERNOX LEADS CLEANUP EFFORT

Employees from Fernox, a Woking based company, volunteered their time on Earth Day, 24th April for their annual litter-picking initiative. The team’s dedicated efforts led to the collection of a significant amount of litter and rubbish, contributing greatly to the tidiness and upkeep of the local area.

Earth day is an event that aims to support environmental conservation and activism globally, since it’s inception in 1970 in the USA it has now grown into a global initiative which encourages us all to take responsibility and find ways to preserve and improve our environment, this year’s theme was “Plants vs Plastics”.

Ernie McDonald, Global General Manager at Fernox said: “Giving back to the local community in which we work is something we are incredibly passionate about. Lowering environmental impact for a sustainable future underpins everything we do here at Fernox and positive change starts at your own doorstep. I am proud to say that our proactive team of volunteers collected a massive amount of litter and rubbish, helping to keep the local area clean and maintained.”
