Fernox FC1 Inhibitor protects against corrosion and limescale formation in light commercial and HVAC heating and cooling systems. FC1 Inhibitor also provides pH buffering to ensure the system water remains within the optimum pH range to prevent corrosion and limescale formation. In line with local regulations and best practice, and for long-term protection of the system, concentration levels should maintained and checked annually as part of the boiler or system service. FC1 inhibitor is compatible with all other Fernox commercial products and is suitable for use with all materials and metals used in central heating systems, including aluminium.
The recommended in-use concentration of the product is 1% v / v%. Fernox FC1 Inhibitor can be introduced into the system via a suitable point (e.g. dosing pot). To ensure rapid dispersion, partly or completely drain down and introduce Fernox FC1 Inhibitor whilst refilling. We recommend untreated systems are thoroughly cleaned and flushed using Fernox FC3 Cleaner before treating with Fernox FC1 Inhibitor, as existing debris can damage the installation. For continued protection we recommend the inhibitor level is checked regularly (annually). The concentration of the product can be easily measured on site using a Fernox Protector Test Kit.
Fernox FC1 Inhibitor is supplied in 20 litre containers.
Fernox FC1 Inhibitor is classified as non-hazardous, but as with all chemicals, keep out of reach of children. Do not mix with other chemicals outside of the Fernox product range. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
